I find it funny how after scoring one important goal for Liverpool, Andy Carroll thinks he should now be given a run of games in the first team. Since he joined from Newcastle in Jan 2011, for a very over-estimated price tag, Carroll has been in extremely poor form scoring just 10 goals in 51 matches. It seems that Pardew definitely sold him at the right time. Since the transfer, new and arguably much better attacking players have joined the team – the £35 million pounds has certainly been put to better use. Between them Demba Ba (free transfer) & Pappis Cisse (£10,000,000) have scored 16 & 10 goals, respectively. These goals have, without a doubt, given Newcastle huge momentum as they now sit in 5th place, 2 points clear of Chelsea. Like I’ve said before, I believe the team is more than capable of overtaking Tottenham for a top four finish and as far as I’m concerned, Pardew had the much better deal regarding the Carroll transfer. It just shows that huge amounts of money don’t need to be spent to achieve a high league position.

Andy still has a long way to go, but at least it is a start
.
Oh yeah, I agree, I think once he sorts his personal life out, then establishes himself in the first team, he’ll be a big success at Anfield. It just seems a big ask after one goal to suggest a permanent starting place.
